MICKEY MOUSE PENTHOUSE AT THE DISNEYLAND HOTEL IS THE ULTIMATE MOUSE PAD FOR “BIG CHEESES”
Meeting professionals can book luxury suite for executives, award winners and hospitality events
ANAHEIM, Calif. (September 16, 2008) – The Disneyland Hotel now offers the ultimate VIP suite for top performers, executives and anyone else who might rate as the “big cheese” of a meeting. Called the Mickey Mouse Penthouse, this luxury suite is also a sophisticated location for hospitality events.
The penthouse is one of the most unique lodging experiences in the world, combining luxury with state-of-the-art technology and Disney whimsy. It measures 1,600 square feet and features an open living room, dining room, kitchen area, two bedrooms and 2½-baths. But classic Disney design elements and high-tech surprises set this penthouse apart from any other VIP accommodations.
As guests enter the penthouse, Mickey personally greets them by magically appearing inside a foyer mirror.
The spacious living room welcomes guests with its bold palette of “Mickey” colors – black, white, red and yellow. Classic Mickey Mouse imagery and three-dimensional artwork dominate the design scheme. Photos and sketches from the Disney library are prominently displayed, with many featuring images of Walt and Mickey that are rarely seen by the public.
A built-in media wall is the focal point of the living room, featuring three flat screen TVs and a state-of-the-art home theater system worthy of Mickey’s status as one of Hollywood’s brightest stars.
Adjoining the living room is a formal dining room with seating for eight.
The master bedroom is decorated with three-dimensional animations of Mickey Mouse in many of his famous film roles. The room is furnished with a king-size bed, lounge chairs, a 37” flat panel TV and a DVD player.
The master bath features a steam shower and Jacuzzi tub. Glass tiles in the shower bring the magic of Mickey Mouse to life, as his familiar image appears only when warm water from the shower hits the tiled wall.
The second bedroom has a cutting-edge animator’s station as the main conversation piece. Guests can exhibit their creative skills on this high-tech table by drawing their favorite Disney characters and then watching them come to life through the magic of Disney technology. The bedroom also features a stylized, built-in armoire with a flat panel TV, DVD player and video-gaming area.
Main rooms of the penthouse boast floor-to-ceiling windows and commanding views of the 500-acre Disneyland Resort, including the Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure theme parks and the Downtown Disney District.
