Disney's Coronado Springs Resort Introduces Upgraded Business Accommodations and New Business Club Lounge Enhancements bring a new level of style and sophistication to Disney's largest and most affordable convention resort. LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (September 29, 2009) An entirely new lodging experience awaits groups that meet at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. The largest and most affordable of the six Walt Disney World Convention Resorts, Coronado Springs has completely "reimagined" its 1,921 guest rooms and suites, introduced new Business Club accommodations, and created a private lounge for Club-level guests. The changes follow other recent enhancements to the resort, which include several original restaurant and lounge concepts. "Meeting professionals and attendees will be impressed by the exciting changes we've introduced at Coronado Springs," said George Aguel, senior vice president for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. "The resort has always offered exceptional value, but we've taken that to a completely different level with stylish new accommodations and enhanced services created with meeting attendees in mind. No other resort in Central Florida offers the same kind of exceptional value and experiences." The most noticeable enhancements can be found in the resort's 1,921 guest rooms. Completely redesigned, each features amenities more often associated with deluxe resorts, from queen- and king-size beds to flat-screen televisions and ergonomic work stations. Rooms also feature a sophisticated, southwestern decor that blends a soothing color palette of sunset oranges and earthy tones enhanced with bright turquoise and classically inspired architectural touches. Luxury bath products by H2O complement the upgraded feel of the rooms. Also new to the resort are Business Club accommodations. Club guests have access to the new Business Club Lounge and a private concierge staff that can secure dining and recreation reservations and provide other assistance. Business Club guests can stay connected to their offices by tapping into the lounge's WiFi service or logging on to one of the computer workstations. Or they can relax with a selection of newspapers and magazines. The lounge also offers complimentary snacks and beverages throughout the day. New Convention Center Chef's Table There's also something new for planners in the 220,000-square-foot Coronado Convention Center. La Mesa del Chef is a private-dining location situated in the heart of the convention center banquet kitchen. More than a chef's table, La Mesa del Chef provides an unforgettable setting for groups of up to 10 people. Guests are immersed in an elegant old-world atmosphere that dramatically contrasts with the surrounding energy and excitement of the massive kitchen. Planners will discover plenty of options for VIP functions -from intimate, gourmet meals to interactive cooking demonstrations by the Disney culinary team. New Dining Options Three completely "reimagined" restaurants, along with a new outdoor lounge and networking area, round out Coronado Springs' enhancements. Rix Lounge is a hip, new locale that's perfect for networking, private events or late-night, high-energy fun. The 5,000-square-foot venue accommodates up to 300 guests and is available for buyouts. Planners can also book the lounge's private room that accommodates up to 100 guests. Also new is Cafe Rix, which offers another affordable dining option for attendees. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Cafe Rix offers a wide selection of gourmet meals for those on the go. Other dining options include an expanded Pepper Market and its innovative blend of quick-and-casual, table-service dining; and the new Laguna Bar that's making waves with its smoothies, iced drinks and beautiful waterfront setting.
