“What’s New” for Groups Meeting at
Disneyland Resort Paris

“WHAT’S NEW”

New in Theme Parks

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror* –
Opened for Private Events January 2008

The newest hotel at Disneyland Resort Paris is an ominous beacon that towers over the Walt Disney Studios.  Once the fabled Hollywood Tower Hotel, it now sits abandoned and beckons guests to experience an episode straight out of the television thriller.  The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror culminates in a breathtaking finale when guests plummet 13 stories again and again – faster than free-fall.  The attraction features elaborately themed settings that are be available for receptions and networking events.

Stitch Live Attraction – Customized Group Performances Premiered April 2008

Practically anything can happen at the new Stitch Live attraction which lets attendees interact and joke with that mischievous alien, Stitch.  Located in the Walt Disney Studios, the new attraction blends real-time graphics and new animation capability to create a private event that’s side-splitting fun and technologically dazzling.  The show is easily customized, with Stitch able to make special announcements to the group, recognize individual attendees, and introduce executives or other speakers.  The show theatre accommodates up to 170 people, with back-to-back shows available for larger groups.  Stitch Live is ideal as a stand-alone reception or as a prelude to a complete privatized evening at the Walt Disney Studios.

Lion King Themed Evening – Roared to Life November 2007 at Disneyland Park

The timeless story and music from The Lion King provide the backdrop for a new private corporate-group event inside Disneyland Park.  Attendees experience a lavish dinner set in the wild and exotic Adventureland section of the theme park.  The setting provides a dramatic contrast to the dinner event – an elegant four-course affair that is appropriately fit for a king.  Complementing its exquisite setting and food, the Lion King evening features outstanding entertainment.  Musicians and singers perform throughout the night, bringing unforgettable music and lyrics to life.

Crush’s Coaster Private Events – Premiered June 2007 at the Walt Disney Studios

Plunge into the larger-than-life film set from the Disney*Pixar animated film Finding Nemo.  The theme park’s newest coaster adventure is also a “totally awesome” private-event option.  The coaster adventure takes guests for a ride on the East Australian Current and into a world brimming with colorful clownfish, hungry sharks and stinging jellyfish.  The new attraction also sets the stage for a classic Australian beach party that can be tailored to accommodate networking events for up to 1,500 people and sit-down dinners of up to 920.

Motor-Sports Teambuilding and Networking Events – Premiered May 2008

A fun private-event option themed to motor sports premiered at Disneyland Resort Paris in May.  It’s ideal as a team-building activity or networking event that lets participants of all ages take the wheel of mini quads (ATVs) for a spin around a specially created course.  The evening features plenty of other racing-themed activities, including a new version of the classic race-car games, and driving simulators that let attendees live the fantasy of being a Formula I ace, or a rally driver.  A professional racing MC and cheerleading dance troupe are available to bring even more excitement to the event.

New Teambuilding Programs – Introduced Fall 2007

Four new teambuilding options are available to groups meeting at Disneyland Resort Paris.  Each offers a perfect blend of sport and leisure, allowing participants to relive the thrills and fun of childhood.  Programs include mini-quad (ATV) racing, motorized scooter tours of the Resort or the Theme Parks, and the chance to walk across Lake Disney in air bubbles.  A new fencing activity includes instruction from fencing masters and individual and team matches that highlight the respect, nerve and self-control that this demanding sport requires.  Each teambuilding opportunity can accommodate 20 to 150 participants.

TGV Train Service Expands With Eastern European Service – June 2007

The TGV French rail service network has expanded service to Disneyland Resort Paris with direct links from Luxembourg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich in Germany; and Basel and Zurich in Switzerland.  This expansion makes Marne-la-Vallée the largest platform of TGV hub connections in France, providing 30-minute service from Reims, one hour from Nancy or Metz and two hours, 15 minutes from Strasbourg.  The new service brings added convenience to meeting attendees traveling from these cities and throughout Eastern Europe.
