Disneyland Resort Offers New Web-Based Tools for Planners and Attendees

ANAHEIM, Calif. (August 9, 2008) – Event planners have another reason to select the Disneyland Resort for meetings and events. In addition to its premier service and ideal setting to dream big, the resort has introduced a suite of Web-based resources that make it easier than ever for meeting professionals to manage hotel blocks and for attendees to plan for their visits.

Meeting attendees can now go online to make and manage their hotel reservations and purchase exclusive theme park tickets.  They’re also only a few clicks away from information about dining and retail options, theme park hours, and previews of Disneyland special events and services.

An added benefit to planners, the online reservation system – created by Passkey – allows planners to manage event hotel blocks and track reservation status in real time.

Developed by the convention and group reservations team at the Disneyland Resort, the Web-based suite is specifically designed for the particular event featuring the dates, hotel information, and event news. Planners can then forward the link to meeting attendees to start the reservation process in a timely manner.

“Our goal with this new online suite was to create the best of both worlds,” said Robert Donahue, director of resort sales and services for the Disneyland Resort. “The hotel reservation capability brings time-saving convenience to planners and attendees.  At the same time, other features like the online ticket store and resort information help ensure that attendees can take advantage of all the Disneyland Resort has to offer.”

The Disneyland Resort is Southern California’s premier meeting destination and is home to three dedicated convention hotels, two world-famous theme parks and Downtown Disney – a nighttime entertainment complex. More than facilities, the Disneyland Resort offers a host of benefits known as the Disney Difference. These include Disney Institute professional development programs, private group events in the Disneyland Resort theme parks, customized Disney entertainment, special theme park meeting/convention tickets, and Disney’s unsurpassed creativity and service.
