Rich architectural details and landscaping will provide elaborate event backdrops and new opportunities for themed events. 'Disney's World of Color' Will Offer New Nighttime Group Opportunities - Premieres 2010 A new nighttime spectacular will be available to groups beginning next year at Disney's California Adventure. Disney's World of Color will be a nightly, 25-minute visual symphony that takes attendees on a magical journey through animation and artistic storytelling. The show's dramatic visual effects will include high-definition images projected on a curtain of water that is 40 feet high and longer than a football field. Adding to the experience will be exciting 1,200 fountain nozzles, pyro effects, colorful lighting, never-before-used laser effects and a moving musical score. Private viewing locations and show buy-outs will be available for groups. The Disneyland Hotels Reimagined Guest Rooms at Disneyland Hotel - Coming Early 2010 Guest rooms at the Disneyland Hotel are being completely reimagined. Premiering in early 2010, the new rooms will offer dramatic, contemporary decor and a host of business-friendly amenities, making them ideal for meeting attendees and other business travelers. These upgraded accommodations will be introduced in phases, with all of the hotel's 969 rooms scheduled for completion by 2012. In 2011 Disney Cruise Line will reposition the Disney Wonder from its Florida base in Port Canaveral to the West Coast. The Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners recently approved a two-year agreement between Disney Cruise Line and the Port of Los Angeles, which includes a three-year extension option. Estimates are that the new Disney Wonder sailings will generate more than 250,000 guests passing through the Port of Los Angeles over a five-year period. Many of those guests will be incentive winners and top performers experiencing new incentive opportunities that Disney Cruise Line will offer in conjunction with the new itineraries that will call on Alaska and the Mexican Rivera. "WHAT'S NEW" The Disneyland Theme Parks Vineyard Room Opens to Groups at Disney's California Adventure - Debuted March 2009 Surrounded by vineyards that invoke the lush landscape of California's wine country, the new Vineyard Room at Disney's California Adventure is the perfect venue for VIP meal functions and other events of up to 125 guests. The space is also one of a few select theme park venues that can host private events during normal park operating hours.Located above the Wine Country Trattoria Restaurant in the Golden State section of Disney's California Adventure, the 2,500-square foot pavilion setting provides a casual environment that comfortably accommodates lunches, dinners, dessert parties and networking events. Toy Story Mania! Opened June 2008 at Disney's California Adventure Park Fun and hilarity are in store for private events at "Toy Story Mania," the new attraction that recently opened at Disney's California Adventure Park. This "toy box of fun" was inspired by the Disney-Pixar series of animated movies and sets a new standard for interactive ride technology. Guests don 3-D glasses and hop into fancifully decorated vehicles. Riding along a colorful midway-themed route, they shoot at animated targets using their own toy cannons. "Toy Story Mania" provides a fun backdrop for private events of up to 4,000 people. The Disneyland Hotels Grand Californian Hotel & Spa Expansion - Opened September 2009 Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has unveiled a stunning new addition that includes 200 guest rooms and 50-two-bedroom villas. The expansion brings the total number of rooms at the hotel to 948. Other elements of the expansion include a new swimming pool, a 300-space underground parking garage, and lounge areas and terraces that are ideal for networking events. The addition also offers convenient access to the hotel's 20,000-square-foot convention center. Mickey Mouse Penthouse - Opened Summer 2008 for VIPs and Hospitality Events The most sought-after hotel suite at Disneyland Hotel is now available for meeting VIPs and hospitality functions.
