Disney Dream to Sail to Bahamas,
Spending More Time at Castaway Cay,
Disney’s Private Island Paradise

CELEBRATION, Fla. – In early 2011, the newest Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Dream, will enter service, offering unique opportunities for meetings and incentive programs. The ship will sail three-, four- and five-night cruises to Nassau, in The Bahamas, and Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island.

The Disney Dream will transport guests through experiences of a lifetime, with incomparable entertainment, adult indulgences, exceptional dining and technological innovations.

On January 26, 2011, the Disney Dream will depart Port Canaveral, Fla., for a four-night maiden voyage. For the majority of 2011, the ship will alternate three- and four-night sailings. During summer months, the ship will alternate four- and five-night itineraries. The schedule also includes special five-night holiday cruises during Christmas and the New Year.

All five-night sailings will include two stops at Castaway Cay – rated by Disney Cruise Line guests as their favorite port of call.

In preparation for the arrival of the Disney Dream, Castaway Cay will undergo several enhancements, including the addition of new private beach cabanas, a new floating platform with slides and an expanded beach. These and other enhancements will make Castaway Cay the ultimate escape for adventure and relaxation.

Expansion efforts also are underway at Port Canaveral to accommodate the larger ship and additional guests.  In addition to an extension of the dock and enlargements to the one-of-a-kind Disney terminal building, a new multi-level parking structure will be built, complementing the design and storytelling elements of the Disney ships.  The new enhancements will provide guests an even more seamless transition from land to sea.
